If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I will never stop rearranging shelves. Never. And honestly? I’m okay with that.

This update is more about making the space feel like us. I wanted a few things out where I can see them, even if they’re not the most efficient choices.

The recipe box finally made its way onto the shelves, and I love seeing it there. It’s full of old family recipes, messy handwriting, and cards that have definitely been used more than once. It might not be the easiest thing to grab while cooking, but it feels right to have it out in the open.

I also added a few family photos, which is something I don’t usually do in the kitchen — but I’m kind of obsessed with how it turned out. Tucked in between cookbooks and dishes, they make the shelves feel warmer and less “styled.” Like someone actually lives here.

Speaking of cookbooks, those were an easy yes. They add some height and color, and even the ones I don’t cook from all the time still feel like part of the kitchen story. Some are favorites, some are just pretty, and that’s okay.

I kept everything else pretty simple — neutral vessels, a little wood, and enough space so it doesn’t feel cluttered. Nothing is too precious, and everything can move around if it needs to (because let’s be honest, it will).

These shelves aren’t perfect, and they’re definitely not finished forever, but right now they feel cozy and personal — and that’s exactly what I wanted.
