Hey friends! 👋
It has been a minute since I’ve popped onto the blog—okay, more like a whole season (or two or three), but who’s counting?
Last year was wild, beautiful, and full of more refresher-vations than I can count. We tackled everything from wallpaper removal to kitchen updates and even poured self-leveler across five different types of flooring to unify the main floor. It was a home we poured our hearts (and a lot of paint) into.
We're officially over a year into our current place—a 2005-built home that’s structurally solid and was refreshingly move-in ready, but definitely needed a style glow-up. There are definitely fewer full-on overhauls, but still some we have done so far. Most of the year, we dove in headfirst into aesthetic upgrades, cozy corners, and small-but-mighty DIYs that totally transform a space without needing to start from scratch.
This shift has been such a breath of fresh air. We get to focus on what we love most—designing intentional, beautiful spaces—without needing to call in a structural engineer first.
So, why the blog silence?
Honestly? Life. The move, the adjustment, the holidays, and let’s be real, TikTok and Instagram kind of took the front seat for a while. But blogging has always been my first creative love, and I’ve missed it. There’s just something about being able to dive deeper into a project, share the wins and the fails, and walk you through the process in a way that doesn’t fit in a 30-second Reel.
So here we are: fresh start, fresh content, same ol’ me with a paintbrush in one hand and a coffee in the other.
What can you expect?
We’re lining up bi-weekly blog posts full of projects we’ve already tackled (get ready for those orangey oak windows to get a major glow-up), behind-the-scenes peeks, product links, and allll the tips I’ve learned the hard way so you don’t have to. Whether you’re here for inspiration, information, or just to see what chaos I’ve stirred up next, I’m so glad you’re back.
Thanks for sticking with me through the big changes, the quiet months, and all the messy in-betweens. I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to—and what’s still to come.
Let’s do this.
xo, Liz
